"Time and tide wait for no man"
My sensei is now over 80 years old. My mother met her by chance at a local Shodo exibition in Japan a couple of years ago. She was happy to see my mother and knew about me living in the US and continued practicing Shodo for a long time. Then Sensei took her piece from the wall and gave it to my mother and asked her to mail it to me. I was just a 6 year old girl when I started learning Shodo from her and now I am in my 40's. "Time and tide wait for no man" is indeed true...
